Prof. Dr. Shamsul Anuar Mokhtar is a Professor in the Software Engineering Department at Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Information Technology. He received a PhD in Computer Science from the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and has been academics since 1990. Prof. Dr. Shamsul Anuar Mokhtar has published a number of papers in journals and conferences.

Professor Dr. Shamsul Anuar Mokhtar holds a PhD in Computer Science and has more than 25 years of experience in systems development and training. He has taught various subjects related to the areas of research methodology, programming languages, databases, software engineering, e-commerce and information security. He is currently a Lead Internal Auditor for COPIA/SETARA and the Head of Audit for UniKL City Campus 5S. Apart from being a committed academician, he has been involved in more than 30 ICT projects involving the development of various software applications and information systems used particularly in the education sector. He was also a winner of the MSC Asia Pacific ICT Awards (APICTA) and the International Invention, Innovation, Industrial Design and Technology Exhibition (I.TEX). He was the Dean of UniKL Institut Infotech MARA (IIM) and the Deputy Dean of the Malaysian Institute of Information Technology, Universiti Kuala Lumpur, Chairman for UniKL ICT Research Cluster and the Executive Editor of the UniKL Research Journal. He has also taught PhD and Masters level courses at International IT University in Fall Semester 2012. He was also the recipient of the MARA Excellent Educator Award in 2010 and 2013.
