About Us

The Universiti Kuala Lumpur-La Rochelle Université Joint Laboratory for Information Communication Technology (ICT) known as KLR-JIL is a collaborative effort between the Universiti Kuala Lumpur and the La Rochelle Université directed by Prof. Dr. Yacine Ghamri-Doudane and Dr. Ahmad Shahrafidz Khalid.

The establishment of KLR-JIL marks a milestone between the two universities. The purpose of the joint laboratory is to carry out the scientific programme on Data Analytics, Internet of Things (IoT), Image Processing and Human Machine Interactions. This joint laboratory will be conducted at both Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Information Technology (UniKL MIIT) and Laboratoire Informatique, Image et Interaction (L3I), La Rochelle Université.

It is also part of an internationalization effort, forging close links between the Universiti Kuala Lumpur and La Rochelle Université by bringing together scholars, researchers and students in ICT and related fields, and inciting both university’s research expertise and strengths. KLR-JIL will be the comer stone of the Postgraduate dual program in ICT, PhD in cotutelle between the two university and shall be managed and controlled by the KLR-JIL. KLR-JIL is supported by funding from both universities.
