24th January – Head of the Information Technology Cluster for the Center For Women Advancement And Leadership (CWAL)
Congratulations to Prof. Associate Dr. Zalizah Awang Long, Dean, UniKL Malaysian Institute of Information Technology on her appointment as Head of the Information Technology Cluster for the Center For Women Advancement And Leadership (CWAL) Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL).
Her appointment is a recognition of UniKL MIIT’s contributions and achievements in various IT-based activities and programs at the UniKL level, nationally and internationally!
With a total number of students exceeding 4,000 people, UniKL MIIT is active in strengthening the academic programs offered through strategic collaboration with high-powered industries in the country and abroad.
26th January – Graduate employability status for the year 2020
Congratulations to the global family of Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Information Technology (UniKL MIIT) for securing another significant achievement for 2022!
We charted a 100% graduate employability status for the year 2020, topped the nation’s IPTS Top 20 Graduate Employability list together with the other 11 UniKL campuses!*
After obtaining a 98.5% graduate employability in 2019, we worked hard in ensuring that our students and graduates are industry-ready and able to survive especially during the pandemic (and what may come after this).
This goes out to all of you – students/ alumni/ academia/ staff/ industry partners/ university partners – who have made it possible.

13th February – Student securing the Global Korean Scholarship (GKS)
Our K-LIP (Korean Language Intensive Programme) Batch 6 alumni, FARHANA BINTI HASLAN FAROUK certainly deserves a standing ovation for securing the Global Korean Scholarship (GKS) 2022 awarded by the Korean Government.
Not only she secured a Level 5 (out of 6) the first time she sat for TOPIK exam, but the gutsy Farhana also had to compete with thousands of other hopeful applicants from Malaysia, went through a vigorous interview process, and here she is… being selected by the Korean Government to receive the prestigious scholarship that many people can only dream of!
Farhana would be pursuing her four-years bachelor degree at Kangwon National University, South Korea
19th February – Achievement of alumni Multimedia at South Korea
Congratulation to our #UniKLMIIT Multimedia alumni, Muhd Naufal Omar on his recent accomplishment – graduating with a Bachelor of Graphic Design from Semyung University, South Korea 👨🏻🎓
Our favorite Oppa and style are inseparable, and looks like he has done it again! Not only he graduates with a CGPA of 4.28 (out of 4.5), ranked 8th out of 65 students in the whole Design Department, but Naufal also receives an award from the Korea Society of Design Trend! 😱 (Which the courses are all delivered in Korean language!)
Having his eyes set on Korea ever since he was young, Naufal admits that he googled for information on how to materialize his dreams. That’s when he discovered UniKL and opted for Diploma in Multimedia. During his Final Diploma year, Naufal was selected to undergo the one-semester Mobility Programme at Semyung and he has never looked back ever since!!!

UniKL MIIT would like to congratulate 5 of our Foundation in Science & Technology for Korean University (Pre-Korea) Batch 10 students who have been selected for the MARA-TM Education Sponsorship Hybrid (MESH) Programme.
MESH Programme is a collaboration between Yayasan TM and Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) to increase the marketability of Bumiputera graduates in the fields of telecommunications and Industrial Revolution 4.0 (IR4.0).

30th August – 1st Place in the recent KLIDRC - Kuala Lumpur International Drone and RC Festival
Our Amir has done it again – securing the 1st Place in the recent KLIDRC – Kuala Lumpur International Drone and RC Festival – held at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa! 🎉🎉🎉
The competition that took place on 26 – 28 August 2022 also awarded Amir with a cool cash prize amounting to USD3,000 😱
Amiruddin Bin Mohamad Khairi, our UniKL MIIT student currently pursuing a Degree in Computer System Security, was not alone as he was also joined by another participant from UniKL BMI, Muhammad Adam bin Mohd. Khuzairi who emerged as the 2nd Place winner in the competition that involved 30 drone pilots!

29th September – Top 10 places for the National Level Smart Uni IOT Hackathon 2022
Congratulations to two young and energetic UniKL MIIT students for making it to the Top 10 places for the National Level Smart Uni IOT Hackathon 2022, among the many participating universities nationwide.
Organised by the Digital Internet Association Malaysia (iAm), university students specifically those from the IT field are encouraged to join hackathons as these will help students improve their skills in preparing them for Industrial Revolution 4.0 (IR4.0).
Supervised by Ts Diyana Abdul Kadir, our UniKL MIIT representatives, Muhammad Adlan Aniq bin Adli Nizam and Muhammad Irfan bin Mohd Asri, Semester 3 students of Bachelor of Information Technology (Hons) in Internet of Things (BIOT) had to go through three screening processes with their project, The Agri-Cultured, Dynamic Intruder and Pest Controlling System. ✨

Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Information Technology (UniKL MIIT) has again received a resounding endorsement from the TVET education sphere by winning a Gold in Institusi Terbaik (Peringkat Ijazah) category at the Anugerah Institusi Pendidikan TVET@KPLB 2022 ceremony.

Our UniKL MIIT Cybersecurity team who competed in the Battle of Hackers (BOH) 2022 – Capture The Flag (CTF) Competition certainly could not hold their happiness when they were announced as the 3rd, 5th, 15th and 20th place winners out of 49 participating teams!
Organized by the Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU), the competition tested participants with multiple cybersecurity challenges.

‘1337 Hackers’ of UniKL MIIT Captured the FLAG! 🚩
Many forms of cybersecurity-themed challenges were set up and it took a mental struggle to solve them. Cybersecurity tools and techniques were used to spot system vulnerabilities and unlock complex tasks.
That was how a team from Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Information Technology (UniKL MIIT) leveraged their essential and foundation hacking skills to ‘capture the flag’.
APU BOH is an annual CTF cybersecurity competition open to all students from Malaysian universities and higher institutions.
In addition to providing a stage for talented youth, it provides students with an opportunity to demonstrate their skills and knowledge, particularly in cybersecurity and digital forensics.

24th July - UniKL MIIT STUDENTS BAG 2 GOLDS AT ICOMPEX 2023
Two final-year students from Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Information Technology (UniKL MIIT) have made their university proud by clinching Gold medals at the prestigious International Innovation and Invention Competition Through Exhibition (iCompEx 2023).
The students, Eiman Najmie Mazlan and Aina Sofia Ahmad Syahrizal, both pursuing a Bachelor of Multimedia Technology (Hons.) in Interactive Multimedia Design (BIMD), showcased their exceptional research projects that impressed the judges and secured the top honours. 🥇
Apart from Eiman and Aina Sofia’s exceptional achievements, another student from the BIMD programme, Syimah Watiqah Kasim, also received recognition for her Silver medal-winning research project, “Educational Game Development – Introducing TVET Among Future Students.” 🥈
