Kim Yong Yeoun is working as a Korean Language lecturer, currently attached with Korean Language Intensive Programme (K-LIP) at Universiti Kuala Lumpur, Malaysian Institute of Information Technology (MIIT). She completed a M.A degree in Global Korean Studies from Kyung Hee Cyber University in Korea and has been granted the certificate of Korean Language Teacher (Level 2) in 2015, issued by Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Republic of Korea. She went through teaching practice as an teacher of Korean language for foreigners programme at Graduate School of International Studies, Kyung Hee University. She received an undergraduate degree in Korean Language & Literature from Soon Chun Hyang University in Korea and obtained also Teacher’s Certificate of Korean Language and Literature for Secondary School, issued by Ministry of Education & Human Resources Develpment, Republic of Korea, 1993. Before joining UniKL, She taught at the Korean School of Malaysia, where she taught courses covering Korean Language and Literature for Secondary students for more than eight years.
RESEARCH AREA

Her current teaching and research interests are the teaching methodology to improve vacabulary by associating Native Korean with Sino Korean and Koren language pedagogy, second language acquisition as well as language proficiency testing.
