Faridah Yahya is a lecturer with UniKL. Currently, she is attached to Computer Engineering Section at UniKL MIIT. She has a C & G 7307 Further Adult Teaching certificate from Wigan & Leigh College, Manchester, UK in 2000 under MARA and British sponsorship with a group of Malaysian. Previously, she was attached to British Malaysian Institute before UniKL was established in 2002. Her industrial experiences includes marketing information system, managing information for marketing department for credit card company, ISO 9001 certification / SOP for factory in corrugated box making and knowledge in shares processing. She has also good knowledge with MS Excels.

She has a Diploma in Statistics from UiTM in 1993, Bachelor of Computing and Statistics from Portsmouth University, Portsmouth, UK in 1997 and M.Sc in Mechatronics Engineering (Signals and Systems) from International Islamic University Malaysia, Gombak, Malaysia in 2009.

RESEARCH AREA

Research interests include data mining, biometrics, signal and image processing, GUI and application of IoT.

Volunteer

Her current interests are in volunteering programme organized by UniKL and other parties such as Kuala Lumpur 2017 29th SEA GAMES (under MASOC as Liason Official), paper reviewer for local conferences under IEEE since 2016, teaching mathematics for secondary student under Yayasan Sejahtera programme for under privilege students in Kuala Lumpur from 2016 till September 2017 and WUF9 in KLCC, Kuala Lumpur. The lists are expanding.
