Basyirah is a lecturer in the Technical Foundation Section at Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Information Technology (UniKL MIIT). She has received a Master of Science in Information Technology and Quantitative Sciences majoring in Financial Mathematics and Bachelor of Science (Honours) Mathematics from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). She has keen interest in doing research and publish research paper in mathematical and statistical fields.
Basyirah is a competent academician in mathematics and statistics. She teaches several subjects in her field such as Business Mathematics, Discrete Mathematics for IT, Quantitative Analysis as well as Statistics and Probability. She also taught A-Level and Pre-Korea Programme in the past. Her research interests involve forecasting, combination of forecasting methods, geometric Brownian motion, financial mathematics, mathematical model and data analysis.
