Haidawati Mohamad Nasir received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK in 2012. She is currently an Associate Professor at the Computer Engineering Section, Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Information Technology. Her main research interests are in the area of IoT, signal and image processing, pattern recognition, computer vision, image enhancement and superresolution. She was appointed as the Head of Computer Engineering Section at UniKL MIIT in October 2015. Haidawati is a Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and Member of IEEE Signal Processing Society. She is currently serving as the Honorary Secretary of the IEEE Malaysia Section.
